Woman and two children posing for a studio portrait at Ipswich in the 1870s. The woman is wearing a long, vertically striped dress with a full skirt and a fitted bodice corseted in at the waist. A pendant hangs from a ribbon tied around her neck, and a lace jabot is attached to her collar. Her hair is severely parted in the middle, and pulled back into a bun. The children wear long frocks of plain and checked fabric.
