Allan Cunningham was a botanist and explorer, born on the 13 July 1791 at Wimbledon, Surrey, England. Cunningham arrived in Sydney Cove on the Surry (ship) on the 20 Decmber 1816. Cunningham is most frequently remembered as an explorer and particularly for his discovery of Pandora's Pass on the Darling Downs and Cunningham's Gap.
