Batlow is a village on the Adelong Road in south New South Wales situated about 90km west-southwest of Canberra (show me) (the nearest capital city). Sydney (show me), the capital of New South Wales, is about 340km east-northeast of Batlow. With a population of around 970, Batlow is one of the smaller towns in Australia. At about 780m above sea level, Batlow is one of the higher villages in New South Wales. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 180km east of Batlow.

The nearest more populous place is the town of Tumut which is 25km away with a population of around 6,200 (show me a map with Batlow and Tumut).
