Gibraltar Falls is a waterfall on the Gibraltar Creek high up in the mountains in the west of the Australian Capital Territory. Nearby mountains include The Pyramid (1169m), Gibraltar Peak (1037m), Billy Billy Rocks (1439m), Mount Domain (1494m), Blue Gum Hill (1458m), Square Rock (1409m), John's Peak (1434m), Tidbinbilla Peak (1544m), Mount Tidbinbilla (1582m) and The Pimple (1501m). Gibraltar Falls is 30km southwest of Canberra (show me). Gibraltar Falls is at an elevation of approximately 1016m above sea level.
We estimate that Gibraltar Falls is between 67m and 120m high. This estimate is based on analysis of the topographic profile around the waterfall and may not be an accurate figure for the total fall of water seen if viewing the falls.
The nearest populated place is the city of Canberra which is 30km away with a population of about 310,000 (show me a map with Gibraltar Falls and Canberra).
The nearest sealed road to Gibraltar Falls is the Apollo Road (11km away).
