The Boyne River in southeast Queensland starts below Haly Mountain at an elevation of 687m and ends at an elevation of 116m merging with the Burnett River.

The Boyne River drops around 571m over its 230km length.

The Boyne River flows through Boondooma Lake (293m) on its way to joining the Burnett River.

20 creeks and rivers flow into the Boyne River. The five longest tributaries are: Stuart River, Ironpot Creek, Boondooma Creek, Toondahra Creek and Lawsons Broad Creek - click here for a full list of all 20 tributaries of the Boyne River.
