Tibooburra is one of the clearest places in Australia. It experiences exceptionally high numbers of clear days along with far below average rainfall. Indeed, with only 228mm of rain annually, Tibooburra is a town in the desert. Daytime temperatures and overnight temperatures are above average. Humidity levels and numbers of cloudy days are below average. Wind speed is average.

Summer in Tibooburra is between December and February and maximum daily temperatues average between 34.9 and 36.1°C with overnight minimums averaging between 20.1 and 21.6°C. Summer days are sweltering, averaging around 36.1 °C in the hottest months. Sunscreen, hat, plenty of water and a portable personal airconditioner recommended.
