Aberdeen is located on the New England Highway in east New South Wales a distance of about 190km north from Sydney (show me). Aberdeen has a population of around 1,700 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Aberdeen is at an altitude of about 179m above sea level. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 110km east-southeast of Aberdeen.

Aberdeen is on the Hunter River.

The nearest more populous place is the city of Muswellbrook which is 11km away with a population of around 10,000 (show me a map with Aberdeen and Muswellbrook).
