Inscription on back of photograph reads, '..House extends back for three rooms and a verandah.' North Queensland tropical timber home with short ridged roof and lattice on the sides of the verandah for shade and privacy. The front gate leads up to the front entrance and the wide encirlcing verandah.

Thirties-style car parked in centre of the street opposite the 'new' National Bank. Centre car possibly a 1936 Ford roadster. The older National Bank is the timber building to the extreme right of the photograph.
