Exmouth is one of the clearest places in Australia. It experiences exceptionally high numbers of clear days along with far below average rainfall. Daytime temperatures, overnight temperatures and wind speed are above average. Humidity levels and numbers of cloudy days are below average.

Exmouth has a wet and a dry season. The wet season in Exmouth begins around January and ends around July. Over the course of the wet season, Exmouth receives around 235.6mm of rain. By comparison, in the dry season from August to December, less than 41.3mm of rain falls in total. At the height of the wet season in May it rains on average 3.7 days in that one month. Indeed, Exmouth has experienced as much as 254mm in a single March day. The wettest month on record is January with 361.1mm of rain falling.

Temperatures in the wet season average between 24.1 and 38OC during the day and 11.4 and 24.1OC overnight. Temperatures in the dry season average between 26.1 and 36.7OC during the day and 12.2 and 20.7OC at night.
