Compared to the rest of Australia, Ingham experiences exceptionally high rainfall. Daytime temperatures, overnight temperatures, wind speed, humidity levels and numbers of cloudy days are above average. Numbers of clear days are below average.

Ingham has a wet and a dry season. The wet season in Ingham begins around November and ends around May. Over the course of the wet season, Ingham receives around 1849.1mm of rain. By comparison, in the dry season from June to October, less than 265mm of rain falls in total. At the height of the wet season in February it rains on average 17.9 days in that one month.
