Cane growing is very big in the Ingham district. There are two sugar mills Victoria and Macknademills. The port of Lucinda is a sugar terminal. There is a five kilometre jetty where the ships load, You can see it follows the curveagure of the earth. Lucinda is also a resort town and very pretty place, Hinchenbrook Island is right there.
