Hadspen is located on the Meander Valley Highway in northeast Tasmania a distance of about 160km north from Hobart (show me). Hadspen has a population of around 1,800 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Hadspen is at an altitude of about 148m above sea level. The nearest ocean is the Southern Ocean about 160km southwest of Hadspen.

Hadspen is on the South Esk River.
