Construction of the Burnett River Bridge, Bundaberg, ca. 1899

Large pylons have been constructed in the Burnett River to support the Burnett River Bridge. The building of the bridge was contracted to J McCormick and Son on the 23 March, 1898. Excavation work is visible on the far side bank with drilling aparatus and a barge nearby. A small boat with wooden oars can be seen in the front right of the image.
